Spice Supreme Rosemary Leaves 1.75oz/39g
SPICE SUPREME | ROSEMARY LEAVES | HERBS & SPICES
DESCRIPTIONS:
Rosemary is an herb in the mint family that has a look similar to that of a pine needle.
This herb has a tea-like aroma and a piney flavor, and is primarily used to flavor lamb, pork and chicken dishes.
Fresh young rosemary leaves are added to vegetable salads to add a touch of piquancy. Dried rosemary is also added
to salads, broths, vegetable soups, boiled fish, and red and white cabbage dishes. Dried rosemary leaves can be used
in place of bay leaves. Rosemary is recommended for use with fatty meats, as well as when grilling beef and veal.
It adds a pleasant flavor to cheeses, potatoes, and dough. In Italy, it is sprinkled over pasta and added to pizza.
Powdered rosemary is sprinkled on poultry: chicken, turkey, goose, and duck. Rosemary flavors satsivi, tomato, and dogwood sauces.
Like other spices, it is added to tea.
For health:
Rosemary contains essential oils, terpenoids, alkaloids, and ursolic and rosmarinic acids. The leaves and young shoots
are used as medicinal herbs. Rosemary helps with colds, biliary and urinary tract spasms, physical and mental fatigue,
stimulates appetite, increases blood pressure, strengthens nerves, and enhances potency. It promotes mental clarity,
revitalizes energy, and improves memory.
